Microsoft Search: Connected content will be seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Search mainline search results
Microsoft Search is about to integrate connected content seamlessly into its mainline search results. This implies that the search results will be displayed beside Microsoft content such as Files, Sites, News, OneDrive for Business and others in the search results, and users will be able to use pagination to navigate through the results, including connected content, or leverage LastModified- and FileType-filters in order to refine their search for connected content. Administrators will be able to determine how and which connected content appears in the All-tab, such as interleaved or Result Cluster. With this new integration, there will no longer be a need for mapping a connection to a custom vertical. This feature is slated for release in the April 2023 timeframe.
