Outlook: Shared Calendar Notifications

In a bid to enhance the productivity of its users, Outlook now offers a new feature that enables users to receive notifications for changes made to a shared calendar, whether created or received. The update allows delegates and editors for a calendar to subscribe to notifications for specific changes to the events in the principal’s calendar. Similarly, any user who has their calendar shared can subscribe to notifications for specific changes made to their calendar by an editor or delegate.

Standard Release: The feature is already rolling out and is expected to be completed by mid-November 2023. After the update, users will have a new UI experience titled "Calendar Updates" under Settings -> Calendar -> Shared calendar, where they can select one or more eligible calendars for receiving notifications about changes made to the respective calendars.

No additional steps are required for enabling the update. In essence, this feature will help users stay informed and on top of all event updates happening in shared calendars, ensuring that teams stay coordinated and on the same page.
