Power Platform – Catalog general availability

Power Automate and Power Apps are set to gain an exciting new feature called Catalog, which will be made available on September 18th and September 26th, 2024 respectively. This feature will enable makers to share and install customized assets like apps, flows, connectors, and prompts with ease, providing better functionality and ease of use within the environment.
The feature will enable makers to publish assets as a template or a managed item. Templates can be utilized by makers in a variety of ways as they can be customized, whereas managed items are more tightly controlled, ensuring consistency across different environments, and can be republished over time with updates. This feature will be explained in-depth in the Catalog in Power Platform documentation.
No action is needed to prepare for this update since this announcement is simply for awareness purposes. However, if you would like to find out more about how to utilize this feature, take a look at the Administer the catalog and View, submit, and install catalog items documentation.
