SharePoint Online: New document library template type “Resume repository” for resume organization and hiring

SharePoint Online is introducing a new “Resume repository” document library template for organizing resumes and streamlining hiring. It includes autofill columns for extracting resume details and is available to pay-as-you-go billing users. Rollout starts in April 2025 for targeted release and May 2025 for general availability. A new “Resume repository” library template type will be available for SharePoint Online. For tenants with pay-as-you-go-billing services enabled, this template type will include autofill columns to automatically extract name, email, phone, college, and degree. Additionally, there are preconfigure choices and people-based columns to help streamline hiring and interview coordination centered on the resume files. Additionally, you can use this template as a reference to create your own templates with Autofill columns as Organizational templates. When this will happen: Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out on late April 2025 and expect to complete by mid-May 2025. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out on early May 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025. How this will affect your organization: The new template will be available for SharePoint users to create and use in their sites. Users who are enrolled in pay-as-you-go billing will be enabled to use the sample prompts in the autofill columns to automatically extract resume details for name, email, phone, college, and degree.
