New functionality coming to Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager

Microsoft is introducing new features to its Purview Compliance Manager that will allow integration with Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Additionally, the company is launching connectors for Salesforce and Zoom, which will increase visibility across your data estate. The rollout is set to begin in early May and end by the end of the same month. This update is not expected to affect your current assessments, but it will provide you with more comprehensive compliance posture across your data estate.

To use the new integration with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, it will be necessary to enable either the Foundational CSPM or Defender CSPM plan and assign the relevant standards to assess to your Azure subscriptions. You will also need to set up the relevant connector(s) for GCP and AWS environments in Defender for Cloud.
