Microsoft Purview compliance portal: New and enhanced Source Code trainable classifier

If your organization relies on the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to manage data loss prevention policies, be on the lookout for the enhanced Source Code trainable classifier. Set to roll out in late January, this classifier replaces the existing Source Code classifier and is designed to be used directly by auto-labeling and data loss prevention policies. The new classifier boasts improved accuracy and noise reduction, with support for over 23 programming languages and 70 extensions. It even has the ability to detect partial or embedded source code in Office files. With as little as 20 lines of code, the enhanced Source Code trainable classifier promises to be a valuable tool for organizations in need of sophisticated data loss prevention measures.

To prepare for the rollout, check any policies that have Source Code as a condition. If so, no action is required, and the new classifier will be implemented automatically. For those looking to create a new policy, simply choose Source Code as a condition during policy configuration. Learn more about the enhanced Source Code trainable classifier and other trainable classifiers in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal by checking out the links provided below.
