Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Four override alerts retire in August 2024
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is retiring four override alerts due to redundancy from the Secure by default feature, starting from August 18, 2024, through August 30, 2024. The four alerts that will be retired are Phish not zapped because ZAP is disabled, Malware not zapped because ZAP is disabled, Phish delivered due to ETR override, and Phish delivered due to IP allow. These alerts will no longer be part of the Alert policies in the Microsoft Defender portal. Existing alerts that are already generated will still be in the system until data retention applies. This change will occur automatically for affected users, with specific subscriptions. AIR built on these policies will not function and features like Investigations or post-breach functionalities will no longer have these alerts as part of the selection, filtering, or processing. Overall, no admin action is needed as these alerts are mostly redundant.
