New Microsoft Edge updater for macOS
Microsoft Edge for macOS is set to introduce a new updater called EdgeUpdater starting with Edge 113. This change will only affect Microsoft Edge on macOS, and it is expected to happen in May 2023. For those who use update preferences for Microsoft Autoupdate to prevent browser updates, it is recommended to transition to the new EdgeUpdater UpdateDefault policy before Edge 113 to avoid automatic updates. Failure to transition before the new EdgeUpdater is rolled out will result in it updating Microsoft Edge automatically on macOS devices. To maintain desired update preferences, transition to the new EdgeUpdater UpdateDefault policy and set preferences before Edge 113.
