New Call Shortcuts in New Teams
Microsoft Teams is introducing new keyboard shortcuts to initiate calls, with the aim of reducing accidental calls and creating differentiation from other common shortcuts. For Windows users, the new shortcuts will be Alt + Shift + A for audio calls and Alt + Shift + V for video calls. For Mac users, the new shortcuts will be Option + Shift + A for audio calls and Option + Shift + V for video calls. This change is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 164200 and will begin rolling out in early November 2023 for general availability, expected to be completed by mid-November 2023. For GCC, GCCHigh, and DoD, the rollout will start in early January 2024 and expected to be completed by late January 2024. There is no admin impact with this change, and no action is required to prepare for it. However, organizations may want to notify their users about the new keyboard shortcuts and update any relevant documentation accordingly.
