Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Restrict egress activities when accessing sensitive websites in Microsoft Edge (U.S. Government clouds)
Microsoft Purview compliance portal has introduced a new capability that allows organizations to restrict egress activities as users navigate protected sites or access sensitive content via Microsoft Edge. This ensures that users do not inadvertently leak sensitive information while accessing designated groups of protected sites. The feature comes with different restrictions that can be applied along with audit, block, and block override controls for monitoring and restricting common egress activities. This capability is currently available for U.S. Government clouds and is set to be released in May 2023.
