Microsoft Syntex is introducing a new feature called Autofill Columns for SharePoint document libraries to allow file content processing and response saving to columns. The feature will be available worldwide from mid-May to early June 2024. Users can configure prompts for this feature, which will require an Azure subscription and admin center setup. The feature enables a prompt to be set on a library column that will process the file’s contents and save the response to the associated column. Users can configure the prompt to extract information from the file or generate a response based on the analysis of the file’s contents. To use the Autofill Columns feature, users need to visit the Content processing setup page in the Microsoft 365 admin center and connect their Azure subscription to enable pay-as-you-go billing. The feature will roll out automatically with no admin action required. After the rollout, users can manage its availability in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This feature streamlines the process of processing and managing files in document libraries, saving time and increasing efficiency.
