Microsoft Teams: SMS for Microsoft Teams Calling Plans
Microsoft Teams, the popular collaboration platform, is introducing a new feature that allows users with calling plans to send and receive SMS messages directly from the app on desktop or mobile devices. This feature will benefit those who need to connect with users from outside their organization who are not using Teams, making it easier to communicate and collaborate. Users in the United States and Canada with Microsoft Teams Calling Plans will be able to use this feature. The feature is set to be released in February of CY2025. This announcement comes as part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to enhance the communication and collaboration experience for its users.
