File Extension Change from .fluid to .loop

File Extension Change from .fluid to .loop

In a move to align with the Microsoft Loop brand, Loop components and pages will switch from using the .fluid extension to the .loop extension. However, this change will take place only in April 2023 and will only affect newly created files. Existing files with the .fluid extension will continue to be supported and work the same way as they currently do. There are no functional differences between .fluid and .loop files. All features and behavior are equivalent between them. Existing sharing links will continue to work as expected and no other file extensions will be impacted by this change. Admins do not need to take any specific action as part of this change, and no Loop settings will be modified. If you have any security or workflows that key directly off of the .fluid extension, it is recommended to update them to include .loop for newly created files. This information was shared in a message with the ID MC533813.
