Microsoft Teams: Avatars wardrobe updates available soon
Microsoft Teams users can look forward to a wardrobe update for their avatars, set to roll out by mid-May 2024. The update will offer new professional wardrobe styles and require no admin action prior to rollout. Users can customize their avatars in the Avatars for Teams app, including color changes in outerwear. The update will be available for various Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 licenses. This applies to Microsoft Teams Enterprise, Teams Essentials, or one of the following Microsoft 365, Office 365, or Business SKUs with Teams included: Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 E3/E5, and Office 365 E1/E3/E5. Certain users may experience a change in outerwear color choice, but customization is simple and can be done in the Avatars for Teams app.
Overall, this update enhances customization options and offers a more polished and professional look for Teams avatars. Full rollout is expected by mid-May 2024 and will be available on Windows PC and Mac in addition to Microsoft Mesh on Quest.
