Create Avatars from Photos in Microsoft Teams | AI Technology

Microsoft Teams is set to roll out a new feature that lets users create avatars from photos using AI technology starting from mid-May to mid-June 2024. The feature is available for various Microsoft Teams and Office 365 licenses and requires a quad-core processor and 4 GB RAM. Teams 2.1 or newer version is necessary and users can create up to three avatars by enabling Mesh Avatars in the Teams Admin Center. This feature allows a broad range of users to benefit from its capabilities, including Microsoft Teams Enterprise and Essentials. To create an avatar from a photo, click the ‘+’ sign in the Avatars for Teams app and choose "Create from photo". Each user can have up to three avatars with the option to delete an existing one to create a new one. However, this feature is not supported in immersive spaces or the Mesh Standalone app.
