Power Automate app changing name to “Workflows” within Microsoft Teams

In a move aimed at streamlining workflow experience for Microsoft Teams users, the existing Workflows app will be merged with the Power Automate app. Consequently, the Power Automate app will be rebranded as "Workflows" to reflect this unification. This change will not affect user experience within the app. All existing workflows, whether created through the Power Automate app or the Workflows app, will persist in the new app. Users will still be able to manage flows within the app, create new ones from scratch, and browse workflow templates.

The rollout is expected to begin in September 2023 and will be completed by early October. Teams Admin Center will still show the Power Automate app as disabled if it was deactivated previously, but for admins who had previously disabled the old Workflow app, they will need to disable the new Workflows app instead. To prepare for this change, it is advisable to inform Microsoft Teams users about the move.
