Universal Print: Pull Print queues
The Universal Print feature has now introduced Pull Print queues, creating virtual printer queues connected to multiple printers for admins. This new feature streamlines the printing process for users, making it simple by requiring knowledge of only one printer per location. The Secure release with QR code functionality is paired with the Universal Print anywhere feature, with additional secure release options to come later. There will be no impact on current Universal Print usage. Admins should set up test printers with QR code release functionality and install the Microsoft 365 app on mobile devices to prepare for the rollout. Rollout begins in October 2024 and is expected to be fully available by February 2025. The article encourages admins to check out Roadmap ID 395937 for more information.
