Updates to Intra-organizational data in Mail flow status, Threat protection status, and Top senders/ recipient report

If you're using Microsoft 365, you'll want to take note of some upcoming changes outlined in this article. These changes center around the Threat Protection Status report, Mail Flow report, and Top Senders and Recipients report, which will now include intra-organizational message details. This means that the reports will provide greater transparency regarding the flow of messages within your organization.

These changes are already rolling out and include the ability to filter the report for intra-organizational messages. The rollout is expected to be completed by October 2023, and there is no impact to your organization other than the additional data showing up in the reports mentioned above. As such, the purpose of this article is merely informational, and no action from tenant admins is required other than updating their training documentation if necessary.
