New Message Recall in Exchange Online rolling out now
The new Message Recall feature is making its way into Exchange Online and aims at being twice as effective at recalling messages than its predecessor, the classic Outlook for Windows Message Recall feature. This new cloud-based feature offers significant improvements and a single, aggregated recall status report for each recall. The new message recall should be available to all Exchange Online tenants worldwide by mid-March and will recall messages in the cloud rather than using the classic Outlook for Windows client-based feature. End-users are likely to experience a higher recall rate of over 95% for messages to recipients within the organization. However, if necessary, administrators have the option to disable the new cloud-based Message Recall or disable recalling read messages by using the provided Remote PowerShell cmdlets. Exciting times lie ahead for Exchange Online users worldwide!
