Teams admin center device state rules and health alerts retire; use Teams Rooms Pro Management portal

Teams admin center’s device state rules and health alerts will retire by late September 2026. Device health monitoring moves to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal, which offers unified monitoring and alerting. Admins must reconfigure alerts and integrations in the new portal; end-user experience remains unchanged. What and why: As part of the ongoing transition of Teams device management from the Microsoft Teams admin center (TAC) to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal (PMP), we are retiring device health monitoring capabilities in TAC — specifically the Device state rule (Teams admin center > Notifications & alerts > Rules) and the device health alerts it generates. Going forward, device health monitoring for all Teams devices (MTR-A, Phones, Panels etc.) is delivered through the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal, which provides device health signals, monitoring, and incident management in a single unified portal. This is a continuation of the change previously communicated in MC1227622, where Android device management capabilities including inventory, updates, health monitoring, and settings transitioned from TAC to PMP. Rollout schedule: General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late September 2026 and expect to complete by late September 2026. Impact on your organization: Who is affected:  Admins who currently use the Device state rule in the Teams admin center to monitor Teams device health, and anyone who receives the resulting offline-device alerts in Teams or via webhook. What will happen: The Device state rule page under Notifications & alerts > Rules in the Teams admin center will no longer be available, and existing rule configurations will stop being evaluated. Device offline / health alerts will stop being delivered to the Admin Alerts and Notifications team’s MonitoringAlerts channel. Any webhook integrations configured against the Device state rule will stop receiving the alert payload.  Existing rule configurations and historical alerts in TAC will not be migrated to the Pro Management portal.
