Did MVP program actually got some things wrong?
The recent departure of Jukka Niiranen from the Microsoft MVP program has sparked a debate on whether the program has made some mistakes. In his blog post, Jukka shares his thoughts on what he perceives as weaknesses in the MVP program. Despite being a respected member of the community, many have come forward to disagree with his views.
Jukka highlights the issue of transparency and uneven distribution of benefits, which, he asserts, has resulted in a loss of value for the program. He argues for a more merit-based approach to the program's benefits and selection criteria, rather than the current system that he sees as privileging those with more significant social media visibility and large followings.
However, while his points are valid, some feel that Jukka's critique might be excessively harsh. Many members have argued that the program still adds significant value to members despite its flaws. It's clear that there is no one-size-fits-all answer, and the debate continues.
The post highlights an important discussion for the tech community, and it would be interesting to see how the MVP program evolves in the future in response to the feedback.
Check out Jukka's post for a more in-depth analysis of his critique of the MVP program.
