However, tools require careful attention to security, authentication, permissions, performance, API limitations, and error handling.

Knowledge:

Use Knowledge when your Copilot Studio agent needs to find and explain information. Use Tools when the agent needs to take action or interact with another system. In many enterprise solutions, the best design is to use both Knowledge and Tools together—Knowledge provides the information and Tools perform the required business actions.

Agents (Delegate tasks to other agents):

In Copilot Studio, Agents can be used to allow one agent to work with or delegate a task to another specialized agent. Instead of building one large agent that handles every business process, you can create smaller agents, where each agent focuses on a specific area. A main or orchestrator agent can then send a task to the appropriate agent and use its response to continue the conversation.
