Update to sharing e-mails
Microsoft is updating the email notifications sent to users who share SharePoint sites to match the behavior of their other sharing emails. This will make it easier for users to identify important sharing emails and improve delivery reliability. The change is now rolling out and should be complete by the end of October, and users who share a SharePoint site and also have an Exchange mailbox will have emails sent from their email account rather than [email protected].
Organizations should update their internal documentation in preparation for this change. The message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98197 and the message ID is MC444990. For more information on this update, visit the M365 Admin website.
