Announcing Public Preview of the new Azure Virtual Desktop app in the Microsoft Store
We are excited to announce that the Azure Virtual Desktop app is now available in the Microsoft Store for public preview!
The new Azure Virtual Desktop app has the same features and flexibility as the Remote Desktop for Windows client, and includes some additional capabilities:
- With the Remote Desktop client, updates are only available through manual download. Using the new Azure Virtual Desktop app, updates are automatic, so users no longer need to be concerned about missing an update. Automatic updates keep users current on all the latest features and releases.
- The new Azure Virtual Desktop app allows the user to reduce the clutter of apps in their Start menu and personalize it by picking the remote apps they want to pin to the Start menu.
The Azure Virtual Desktop app runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
