Microsoft Teams: People targeting Graph API

Microsoft Teams: People targeting Graph API

Microsoft Teams has introduced a new feature that allows organizations to publish content to multiple teams using their hierarchy. This functionality is currently available in preview and can be used for task publishing to distribute task lists across several teams based on team attributes. To upload hierarchies, customers must currently use a preview version of PowerShell since Graph APIs for this feature are not yet available.

Having Graph APIs for this hierarchy would give organizations the capability to work with their hierarchies through Graph for both querying and for end-to-end workflows. This would remove the barrier of downloading the preview cmdlets from PowerShell, providing customers with a more streamlined experience.

The feature is expected to be released in October CY2022 and will be available on Mac Cloud Instance, DoD, GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and GCC platforms. The roadmap ID for this feature is 99191.
