OneDrive: Sync – Shared Item Delete and Local Mass Delete Confirmation Dialogs
OneDrive is introducing a new delete confirmation feature to prevent accidental deletion of shared items or files during mass deletion. This new UI format will replace the existing mass delete experience and apply to files deleted from File Explorer while OneDrive is running and not paused. The release date for this feature is slated for November CY2024, and it will be available on Desktop platforms across Cloud Instances, including DoD, GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and GCC. This feature is expected to improve the user experience, minimize errors and frustration, and ensure that shared files are not mistakenly deleted.
