Enforce policy approval settings for admins

Starting August 26, 2024, Entitlement Management will be updated with changes that will enforce approval settings for Global Administrators and Identity Governance Administrators, this will prevent the bypassing of access package policy approvals by these administrators. This update will be automatic and will not require any action from organizations. These changes are being made to improve access package approval settings and are in accordance with Microsoft Entra ID Governance best practices.

If a Global Administrator or Identity Governance Administrator selects a policy with approval settings that they do not meet, then the request will have to be approved by a designated approver. This message has been sent to organizations whose reporting indicates active access package assignments. For more information, click on the link provided in the post.
