Safe Attachments policy: Retire option ‘Apply the SafeAttachments detection response if scanning cannot complete’

In a bid to streamline its Safe Attachments policy, Microsoft recently announced the retirement of the ‘Apply the SafeAttachments detection response if scanning cannot complete (timeout or error)‘ option. According to Microsoft, issues with errors and timeouts have been considerably reduced, leaving this option obsolete. In fact, choosing this option can even lead to false positives. This best-design practice change will take place from June-July 2023, depending on the cloud environment (Worldwide or Government). As an admin, there is no action required but watch out for the new option for handling actionable outcomes in the future.
