Discover Cowork recommendations in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat

Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat will offer contextual Cowork recommendations starting September 2026, helping eligible users access relevant tools with editable drafts. The feature is non-blocking, requires no admin action, and admins can disable Cowork access if needed. Training updates are recommended; no compliance issues noted. Microsoft 365 Copilot users may see contextual recommendations in Copilot Chat when Cowork could help with their task. These recommendations help users discover and access the most appropriate Copilot experience based on their current request. When a recommendation appears, users can select Try Cowork to open Cowork with their most recent Copilot Chat prompt prefilled as an editable draft. No request is automatically submitted or run. Users can review, modify, or discard the draft before proceeding. This is an assistive, non-blocking experience designed to help users find relevant tools and complete tasks more efficiently.
