Enhanced M365 Copilot Memory – Copilot is now personalized with work data

M365 Copilot now uses Microsoft 365 work data to provide personalized responses, rolling out worldwide in October 2026. Users can disable this via “Chat History and Work Insights” settings; admins can control it with enhancedPersonalizationSetting. No admin action or compliance issues are required. What and Why: Copilot now uses inferences Microsoft 365 data as context to provide more personalized responses to your work. Impact on Your Organization: Inferences from Microsoft 365 data will be used to provide Copilot additional context for more personalized responses. To disable Copilot from using inferences generated from Microsoft 365 work data (“Work insight”) users can disable the “Chat History and Work Insights” toggle in Settings > Personalization Admins can disable this setting with the enhancedPersonalizationSettingadmin control.
