188%: The Rise of the Creator Economy
The creator economy is on the rise, and businesses should take notice. According to the latest episode of the WorkLab podcast, creator-focused companies have received 188% more funding in the first half of 2021 than in all of 2020.
In this episode, host Daniel Roth, editor in chief at LinkedIn, breaks down the power of creators' content on the platform, explains what the creator economy is, and why it's growing. He also suggests that employers should encourage and embrace them. Roth is joined by Temi Ibisanmi, a media campaign manager at Microsoft, who shares his story of becoming a digital creator while maintaining a corporate job and explains how it has positively impacted his career.
