Announcing Payments in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams has launched a new Payments app that aims to help businesses of all sizes to get paid by customers for appointments, classes, or events hosted on Teams. This app is free to use with any Teams or M365 subscription and enables users to connect with third-party services such as Stripe or PayPal to request payments during a Teams meeting, making the payment process quick and simple. However, the Payments app will only be supported for US and Canadian registered businesses during its initial launch period in November 2022 as a Public Preview.
As an organization, you may want to inform your users about this new Teams Payments app and begin planning on how to utilize it to grow your business. Additionally, admins can manage the availability of the Payments app by setting app permission policies in the Teams admin center.
