SharePoint list and library rules will send from the [email protected] email address

SharePoint list and library rules will now be sending their automated emails from the [email protected] email address, which displays as "SharePoint Online". No action is required for this change, but email policies and workflows may need to account for this new address. This change is intended to align mailing practices with best practices, and applies to rules created from the 'Automate' dropdown. Previously, emails would be sent from the user associated with a file or item update. This change is effective immediately and will not interfere with existing rules. Users may notice a change in email address and display name for automated emails from SharePoint list or document libraries. To prevent interruption, any email policies or workflows based on a specific sender should include [email protected].
