Microsoft OneDrive for the web: Create with templates

Microsoft OneDrive for the web is getting a refresh to its file creation experience. You will now have the option to choose from a range of high-quality templates in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to kickstart your work, instead of starting with a blank document. Additionally, you can create new files using your company's templates. With this new feature, you can browse templates by category or search for a specific template. You can preview each template and create a new file from it with just one click or navigate to the template details page for more information. You can choose where your new file is created with a simple dropdown, and the default location will continue to be My files though you can select a new location if you wish to create in a specific folder or a Document library in Quick access. These changes will be rolled out beginning in March 2024 and are associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 363474. Once rolled out, you'll see a revamped interface when you select Add New, and you'll still be able to upload files, create folders and files, just as before. If your company has templates stored in an organizational asset library, they will also be available in a separate category.
