Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Mesh app on Meta Quest headsets supports hand interactions
The Microsoft Mesh app has received a significant upgrade for users of Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro headsets. Now, users can interact with the app through hand gestures, enhancing the experience of immersive events and environments. The motion controllers are still supported, and users can switch between controllers and hand gestures according to their preference in using the app. This update aims to provide a more natural and intuitive approach to using the Microsoft Mesh app, making it more accessible to users.
If you're a Microsoft Teams user, this improvement could be a game-changer for using the app in an immersive way with your team members and colleagues. The update is scheduled for general availability release in October CY2024 and is offered for Mac Cloud Instance Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) platform. You can find out more about it on the Microsoft 365 roadmap.
