Microsoft Teams: Ultrasound Howling Detection in Teams Meetings
Microsoft Teams has announced an update that addresses the issue of echo and feedback loop during Teams meetings. The update, which is set to roll out in late February, notifies users in the same location that another Teams device has already joined the meeting and automatically mutes the microphone and speakers of the newly joined user. Users will still be able to turn the switch back on if they wish. This update aims to provide a seamless meeting experience and will be available on Teams Desktop client for Windows and macOS.
By detecting potential issues and providing proactive measures that prevent them, Microsoft continues to enhance the Teams platform, making it increasingly reliable and user-friendly. Organizations may want to update their training and documentation as appropriate to maximize the benefits of this new feature.
