Viva Connections – Manage your organization’s brand in the new brand center preview

In a bid to enhance branding management across sites and pages, Microsoft has announced a brand new SharePoint brand center. The rollout is set to begin in mid-April 2024, with a preview period lasting until June 2024. Once activated by a global administrator, the brand center will provide a centralized space for brand management that empowers site owners to create and manage brand assets across SharePoint and Viva Connections.

The SharePoint brand center delivers new capabilities that boost consistency across your sites and pages. By offering centralized branding management, it allows brand managers or designated users to manage brand assets more effectively, while empowering site owners to create and manage the assets required to customize SharePoint and Viva Connections.

Before the brand center can be utilized, it will require activation by a global administrator, as well as the use of Public CDN. Organizations that use the organization asset library feature will have their site automatically identified by the brand center administrative experience. In contrast, those who do not use the organization asset library will need to create a new site to be identified as their brand center. Once enabled, the SharePoint brand center will also make it possible to utilize custom fonts in SharePoint and Viva Connections.

Overall, this new SharePoint brand center promises to be an exciting addition for brands and organizations, providing them with the tools needed to create and maintain a powerful and consistent brand narrative.
