Microsoft Teams: Notification suppression for hidden channels
Microsoft Teams is set to introduce a new feature that will suppress notifications for hidden channels, except for personal and tag mentions, beginning June to July 2024. The aim of this change is to optimize user notifications, and no action is required from tenants or admins. With this new feature, users will only receive notifications for personal and tag mentions from hidden channels, streamlining their communications and eliminating unnecessary notifications. As a result, users will be able to better stay on top of their most relevant conversations. There will be no impact on tenants or admins, and the feature will be automatically available for all users by default for existing and subsequent hidden channels.
