Archive Inactive SharePoint Sites | Microsoft 365 Update
Microsoft 365 is releasing an archive feature for SharePoint that will allow for inactive sites to be archived, reducing storage costs. The feature will be available worldwide from late April to mid-May 2024 and can be managed by SharePoint and Global admins through the SharePoint admin center or PowerShell. Before utilizing the archive feature, admins must identify inactive sites suitable for archiving. This feature will be beneficial for organizations exceeding their storage quota limit. For more information, visit the Microsoft 365 Roadmap and Microsoft Learn.
