Microsoft Teams: Enhanced real-time alerting rule management in the Teams admin center

Microsoft Teams will enhance Real-Time Alerting rule management in the Teams admin center by enabling rule duplication, bulk user uploads, and direct rule deletion. Administrators can monitor up to 500 users for In-Progress Meetings and Calls. These features roll out worldwide starting late September 2026, enabled by default. We’re enhancing Real-Time Alerting rule management in the Microsoft Teams admin center to help administrators manage alerting rules more efficiently and at greater scale. With this update, administrators will be able to: Duplicate existing rules to create similar alert configurations without manually recreating them. Bulk upload users when creating or editing rules, reducing manual effort when monitoring larger groups of users. Delete rules directly from the management experience to simplify rule maintenance and cleanup. These enhancements are designed to streamline administration of Real-Time Alerting rules and improve operational efficiency. Organizations can monitor up to 500 users across their Real-Time Alerting rules, enabling monitoring at larger scale. These capabilities apply to In-Progress Meetings and Calls rule types.
