PowerPoint Live adds the ability to reload updated presentations during meetings

PowerPoint Live adds the ability to reload updated presentations during meetings

PowerPoint Live will allow presenters in Microsoft Teams to refresh and load the latest saved version of their presentation during a live meeting without restarting. This feature, rolling out from late May to mid-June 2026, requires no admin setup and helps maintain real-time alignment with updates. What and Why: PowerPoint Live presenters will soon be able to refresh their presentation during a live meeting to load the latest version of the deck without restarting the presentation. This improvement helps presenters stay aligned with last-minute updates and reduces meeting disruption, supporting personal and team productivity by keeping everyone in sync in real time. Rollout Schedule: Targeted Release (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in late May 2026 and expect to complete by late May 2026. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in early June 2026 and expect to complete by mid-June 2026. Impact on Your Organization: Who is affected: Users who present content using PowerPoint Live in Microsoft Teams meetings. Platforms/Services: Microsoft Teams (PowerPoint Live) What will happen: Presenters will see a new one‑click option during a PowerPoint Live session to reload the latest saved version of the presentation. Selecting the button reloads the latest saved version of the presentation. Screenshot: Select the refresh button to reload your PowerPoint deck and present the latest updates: View image in new tab The presentation continues without needing to stop and restart sharing. The feature is available by default; no admin configuration is required. Action Required / Recommendations: No action is required. Consider notifying presenters and helpdesk staff about this enhancement. Compliance Considerations: The feature reloads the most recent version of an existing PowerPoint file during a live presentation but does not introduce new storage locations or retention behaviors.
