Re: Power BI September 2026 Feature Summary

It's amazing to see the innovations introduced in this latest update and more importantly what is still to come. Without a doubt, AI is no longer the future it's the present !!! and Microsoft is helping organizations accelerate this transformation.
One of the biggest advantages for BI professionals and developers is that front-end development will become much faster, allowing us to focus more on the back-end: building stron well-designed semantic models that AI can leverage to deliver better answers and generate more dynamic and relevant visualizations.
BI is also becoming more accessible and inclusive, as users will increasingly interact with data through natural language rather than needing to navigate complex reports or understand technical concepts.
At the same time, we cannot overlook security and governance. Documenting measures, defining clear business descriptions, and implementing proper governance practices will be essential to help AI understand the business context and increase trust in the insights it provides. 
Finally, while AI can help us create dashboards and analyses faster, critical thinking remains more important than ever. AI should not replace human judgment. Instead, by reducing the time spent on front-end development and repetitive tasks, it allows us to spend more time questioning, validating, and interpreting information to deliver greater business value.
