Microsoft Teams Default meeting template
Default meeting templates let IT admins set organization-wide meeting options for Teams meetings scheduled via Outlook or Teams calendar, ensuring consistency and protection. Rolling out worldwide in November 2026, only Teams Premium licensed organizers can use them. Admins create and assign templates; some meeting types are excluded. What and Why: Default Meeting Templates enable IT admins to automatically apply their organization’s preferred meeting options whenever users schedule a Teams meeting through Outlook or Teams calendar. Participants joining those meetings will experience the configured meeting options. Please note that only organizers and co-organizers with a Teams Premium license can use the default meeting template.
