Microsoft Teams: Proximity Join via Ultrasound
Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature called "proximity join via ultrasound" that will allow users to easily add their current Teams Room to their Teams meeting. This feature will work by emitting ultrasound beacons only within the physical Teams Room, which can be detected by the user's companion device. This will provide a more accurate list of nearby room options on the pre-join meeting screen, making it easier for users to join meetings quickly and efficiently. The feature is set to be released in June CY2024 and will be available on the Cloud Instance GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and GCC.
