Starting September 1, 2026, Teams device management will transition from Teams admin center to Teams Rooms Pro Management portal, completing by end of September. Admins must migrate Teams Android devices to PMP to avoid management disruptions, updating agents and verifying device visibility before the deadline. What and Why: This is a reminder that starting September 1, 2026, Microsoft will begin deprecating Teams device management capabilities in the Teams admin center (TAC) for Worldwide customers. The rollout will occur in phases and is expected to complete by the end of September 2026. To avoid disruption to device management, we recommend completing your transition to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal (PMP) before September 1, 2026. We previously announced this retirement in MC1227622. Rollout Schedule: We will begin the phased deprecation of Teams Device management capabilities in TAC in early September 2026 and expect to complete by end of September 2026 Impact on your organization: Who is affected Admins managing: Teams Rooms on Android Teams phones Teams panels SIP phones What will happen Beginning September 1, overlapping Android device management capabilities will gradually be removed from TAC as they transition to PMP, including: Complete device inventory, including metadata and app information. Remote actions (restart, log collection, sign-in, sign-out, provisioning, and more). Update management (manual and automated). Device settings and configuration profiles. Device health signals and monitoring. SIP device management. The Teams Rooms Pro Management portal is now the primary portal for managing Teams Android devices. Organizations that have not completed the required migration steps may experience limited ability to manage Android devices in TAC as deprecation progresses. Action Required/Recommendations: Before September 1, ensure that you: Sign in to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal and Verify that your Teams Android devices are visible and manageable in PMP. Complete the required prerequisites, including updating the Teams Android Admin Agent (where applicable) and allowlisting the required network endpoints. Bring any offline, or currently unused Teams Android devices online and make sure they are updated to the required Teams Admin agent version before deprecation begins to successfully connect to PMP.
