Microsoft Teams: People count captured by Cloud IntelliFrame in the Pro Management portal reports
The Teams Rooms usage report in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal will include people count data from Cloud IntelliFrame, enhancing occupancy insights for Windows devices with Teams Rooms Pro licenses. This update rolls out worldwide in October 2025 with no policy changes required. Introduction We’re enhancing the Teams Rooms usage report in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal by updating the people count column to include data captured by Cloud IntelliFrame. This update provides IT admins with more accurate and actionable occupancy insights, helping optimize meeting space utilization. This message applies to Teams on Surface devices and Web. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 501547. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): Rolling out in October 2025; expected completion by end of October 2025. How this affects your organization: Who is affected: Admins managing Teams Rooms on Windows licensed with Teams Rooms Pro. What will happen: The Teams Rooms usage report will include updated people count data sourced from Cloud IntelliFrame. The people count data will reflect the number of people detected in the room during meetings. This feature is available only for Teams Rooms on Windows with a Teams Rooms Pro license. No changes to existing admin policies; feature is available by default for eligible rooms. What you can do to prepare: Ensure Teams Rooms on Windows are assigned a Teams Rooms Pro license to access the updated report. Communicate this change to helpdesk or facilities teams if they rely on occupancy data. Update internal documentation if you reference Teams Rooms usage reports.
