Chile DST changes 2025 update now available
Updates are now available to reflect the 2025 Daylight Saving Time (DST) change in the Aysén region in Chile. On March 20, 2025, the Chilean government made an official announcement that the Aysén Region in Chile would permanently stay in DST or UTC-3. Microsoft has included support for this change in the April 2025 Windows security update for all supported versions of Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server. These changes are documented in the release notes articles associated with these updates. When will this happen: Support for this change is available now as part of the April 2025 Windows security update. How this will affect your organization: If your organization has users affected by these changes, their system will show incorrect time until the April 2025 Windows security update or later is installed. What you need to do to prepare: Update your supported Windows devices with the April 2025 Windows security update.
