We are announcing support for subscription billing for Project Operations in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach public preview on September 30, 2026. How does this affect me? This feature automates recurring invoicing to reduce manual intervention. It improves financial control, supports flexibility, and positions businesses to scale subscription offerings and forecast monthly recurring revenue (MRR) more accurately. Core capabilities of this feature include: Recurring billing: Create and manage subscription contracts with flexible billing schedules (monthly, quarterly, annually). Automated invoice generation: Automatically create invoices based on predefined schedules; supports batch processing. Flexible pricing models: Standard, tiered-based pricing; consolidate multiple billing lines into one invoice. Integration: Seamless flow between CE and finance and operations for invoicing and accounting; supports Dataverse-based configuration. Advanced scenarios: Fee journal-based billing for project contracts, subscription hold or termination management, and refund handling. What action do I need to take?
