Dynamics 365 Project Operations – Set a default booking method for the schedule board

We are announcing the ability to set a default booking method for the Schedule Board and Schedule Assistant in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach public preview on September 30, 2026. How does this affect me? When this feature is enabled, administrators can configure a default booking method in the Schedule Board settings. The selected default booking method is automatically applied to bookings created through the Schedule Board or Schedule Assistant, helping resource managers save time and reduce booking errors, rework, and cancellations. Users can override the default by changing the booking method when creating an individual booking. What action do I need to take? This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
