Windows resiliency: Best practices and the path forward

The recent CrowdStrike incident highlighted the importance of having mission-critical resiliency in every organization. To ensure resiliency during critical incidents, remediation, learning, and change are necessary, all while providing transparent communication to stakeholders. One approach to mitigating this potential problem is to establish 'first responder' teams within your organization. Since the incident, more than 5,000 support engineers have been working non-stop to restore critical services, and we are documenting remediation steps and providing ongoing updates via the Windows release health dashboard. From our conversations with various organizations around the world, those who were able to remediate and recover the most quickly followed a similar set of practices.
